Level 1[ | ]

Once down to the first level, on your left is a "floor to ceiling shaft", and on your right is an elevator that is out of order, with the far right being blocked off by an impassable cave-in. To fix the elevator, you need an can of kerosene, and after that a gas cap. To find the gas cap, go outside and move to the far right, where a ladder leads to the tunnel on the other side of the cave-in. If you have the Percussive Maintenance perk (see, Perks), you can activate the option that allows you to fix it without the required items. Once the elevator is fixed, you can now to go down to levels 2, 3, and 4.

Level 2[ | ]

Level 2 contains, on the left, a continuation of the shaft, and a pile of trash that has nothing of use in it. On the right are tables and a cupboard, all of which have no useable items on or in them. Past the tables are a group of cultists through which you cannot pass without some form of interaction.

After getting past the cultists you continue on to an altar detailed with cult spirals that has an El Vibrato cross on it.

Level 3[ | ]

Level 3 has, on the left, a cart with a large boulder of coal in it, that you can push if you have 30 Muscle, and at the far end of the mining shaft is the cart receiver, which has the child's bracelet required for the Alamo Rent-A-Mule quest. If you push the cart, it slides to under a grabbing claw that now holds the description "It's ready to be grabbed!". On the right are two flushable toilets, and past them, a group of six cultists.

  • You can either fight them, or if you have equipped the cultist leader mask and one of Outfoxin' 4, Hornswogglin' 4, or Intimidatin' 4, you can convince them to let you pass (with no item drops, slightly less XP, and no further interaction possible).
  • Wearing the cultist mask is ineffective, giving you only the option to leave.

Past the six cultists is another cultist altar, of which contains nothing able to be picked up.

Level 4[ | ]

On the left is an empty shaft with nothing of note. If you have the El Vibrato rod an El Vibrato container shows up, which you will need an El Vibrato keystone to unlock. On the right is, again, a crowd of cultists.

  • You can either fight them, or if you have equipped the cultist leader mask and one of Outfoxin' 5, Hornswogglin' 5, or Intimidatin' 5, you can convince them to let you pass (with no item drops, less XP, and no further interaction possible).
  • Wearing the cultist mask is ineffective, giving you only the option to fight or leave.

After the cultists is a pile of rocks that have been mortared together. You can destroy the pile of rocks if you have 50 Muscle and a pickaxe. Once destroyed, the pile of rocks reveals an El Vibrato gateway that requires an El Vibrato keystone to unlock. Once unlocked, the gateway carries you to and from an El Vibrato Control Center.

Coal Smasher 5000[ | ]

The mine's outside contains a machine with the title "Coal Smasher 5000", with the description "This weird shaft thing goes down further than you can see". This machine is unavailable for use until you push a cart on Level 3 that contains a large boulder of coal underneath the grabbing claw. Once you do that, the description of the machine switches from "This weird shaft thing goes down further than you can see" to "There'a a button that says WINCH. It's probably for the winch." Once you activate the winch, the boulder of coal is drawn up into the machine with the description now reading "There's a button labeled SMASH". Once smashed, the boulder of coal yields a piece of superdense coal.
